Loading in Central London
The London end runs to the usual rules with a longer day behind them. Floor, lift, legal stopping, and an early start, because a two and a half hour drive each way leaves less room for a slow load than a local job does. Where the street has no legal stop we press for a suspension rather than accepting a long carry, since the time matters more here.
Unloading in Bath
Bath is a hill, and where your address sits on it decides the day. The terraces at Lansdown, around the Circus and up towards Camden Crescent are four and five storeys with a single staircase, no lift, and often a basement or lower ground flat with its own steps down from the street. Several central streets carry weight restrictions and some are too narrow for a box van.
