Mayfair jobs come with a gatekeeper. The buildings in Mayfair
Purpose built mansion blocks and post-war apartment buildings make up most of the residential stock, and nearly all of them are managed. That means a service entrance, a goods lift with a booking sheet, and rules about protecting the common parts. The Georgian houses on the garden squares are the other type, and those have handsome staircases that are genuinely hard to get a wardrobe down.

Westminster controls the parking and the bays on Mount Street, Brook Street and South Audley Street are in constant demand, so a suspension is more often worth buying here than elsewhere. My building requires the goods lift to be booked. Can you arrange that?
Yes, and we would rather do it ourselves than have it half arranged. Give us the building manager or concierge contact when you book and we will confirm the slot, the entrance and any floor protection they want in place. It removes the most common cause of a Mayfair move stalling in the lobby.
Do you carry insurance for high value items?
We carry goods in transit and public liability cover as standard. For genuinely high value pieces, artwork in particular, tell us the value when you book so we can confirm in writing that it is covered before anything is lifted rather than after.
Is a bay suspension worth it on Mount Street?
For a full flat, usually yes. The bays are occupied more or less permanently and a long carry with valuable furniture is a false economy. For a single item collection it rarely is. We will tell you which side of that line your job falls on when we quote.
