Grand white stucco terraces converted into flats, typically five storeys with a raised ground floor and a communal staircase that gets narrower as it climbs. The garden squares around Onslow Square and Queen's Gate Gardens follow the same pattern. Purpose built blocks near the museums have lifts. Student accommodation around Imperial has goods access and booking sheets.
Parking, loading and access in South Kensington
South Kensington is outside the Congestion Charge zone. Cromwell Road is a red route and carries heavy traffic all day, so loading happens on the side streets and garden square frontages instead. Kensington and Chelsea controls the parking and the square bays are permit-heavy. Exhibition Road has its own shared surface arrangement which restricts where a van can stand. For upper floor flats with no lift, the staircase rather than the parking is usually what sets the pace.

Can you load on Exhibition Road?
Only in limited places. The shared surface layout restricts where a vehicle can stand and enforcement is active. For addresses on or just off it we normally load from Harrington Road or one of the smaller turnings instead.
